I'm considering an iPod (or the mini version). Does anyone make a high-quality earphone (not quite sure what you call) for only one ear, and that combines both stereo channels? I'm interested because I am partially deaf and cannot hear out of one ear. My recollection is that you could buy an plug adaptor of some sort that would essentially make stereo output mono, and then use any headphone, but since I don't need both sides, I was hoping that someone has come up with a high-quality, single-side solution/alternative.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I can't recommend a specific earphone, but a < $12 adapter will combine two channels into one very easily, and you could then use any cellphone-based earphone system, I'd think.
