iPod touch iPod Touch Calendar Colors?

Hey guys,

I have a problem with my iPod Touch Calendar.
When I add something on my Calendar, the color is always blue.
With MobileMe you can chose between multiple colors, but I don't want MobileMe.
I don't use iCal, or anything other electronic Calendar, I'm completely new with this. But I really would like to use this.

So is there a way to chose multiple colors with the Calendar without using MobileMe?
Maybe a free application?
