I've looked around the web trying to find SOLID proof that the new Alumin MacBook Backlit keyboard won't work in my Plastic Black MacBook. And I dont see why not besides the ambient light sensor which I think I can do without, Im pretty sure it will swap fine.

Most people say the "function" keys will be a problem ex. screen brightness, volume, dashboard button. I dont see a problem if you see my keyboard it has F5 and F6 empty and if you see the new Alumin MacBook backlit keyboard you'll see F5 and F6 buttons used for backlight keyboard brightness. So why shouldnt it work? Im REALLY serious about doing this, can you guys help me out?

And if they dont no worries I dont care if I buy a MacBook backlit keyboard and it not work cause, Im literally tired of typing in the dark . So if you guys can post me some places where I can buy the new Alumin MacBook Backlit keyboard for not to much! Id really appreciate it.

I think you will find you won't be able to change them over - the bottom case is totally different on the 2 models - therefore the connections and shape of the bottom of the topcase are totally different.

Maybe the reason you cannot find info is because nobody has worked out how to do it........
