iPod touch How much space exactly is in the 16 GB and 8 GB?

So I'm finally going to get my very own iPod Touch this week. Can't wait, it'll be tonnes better than my current 1st gen nano. 🙂

Just wondering how much exact storage space there is on the iPod Touch? My nano only has 1.83 GB.
