To enjoy the extend of guarantee of AppleCare...do I have to buy it when I buy my Imac or I can buy it during the first year after purchase?

I live in Brazil. Do you know if I can buy AppleCare in USA?

I bought Apple Care for my iMac and have never had to use it (not that I really want to)

I'm not sure about the buying in another country thing.
