So I've been looking at getting a new laptop, and I really want a 2.4ghz black macbook and i saw a couple days ago that they had the previous generation model for sale in the refurbished section in the applestore. but i went back today planning to buy it and it was gone, I also saw that there was a refurbished one that i would have bought but it was also not there. Does anyone know if apple will have more of these for sale in the future?

The refurb page is always changing, the availability switches 2-3 times a day.

If you see it, don't hesitate. some stuff stays on for days but somethings go within minutes. good luck

Any reason you want the blackbook in particular?

thanks for the replies everyone, i'm wanting the black one because i think it looks really nice, and its got the best specs without getting a macbook pro. And i need a previous generation because I need a firewire connection for recording audio which i do frequently. I would settle for a white one but i think they look cheap and i think the upgrade of double the memory and hard drive space is worth the extra 50 dollars that i would pay for the black one.

yeah that was pretty much my reasoning when i got a blackbook back in april, I love the look of the black and i still have a soft spot for it in my heart even though the aluminum replaced it.

Keep waiting, keep checking the refurb lists, and keep looking, and a lovely black MB will fall into your lap. Refurb is the way to go; add Applecare to the mix, (you'll have any time within the first year to do so, but not a second more), and you should be well set up for several years.

Cheers and good luck

Same thing I upgraded from when I bought my MacBook. It was four, a month from five, and it was time to let it go.

Anyway, congrats, hope you enjoy it :)
