I am announcing a new paid iPhone movies app today called 'Hot
Popcorn'. The application is currently getting reviewed by Apple and
will sell for $3.99.

You can see some more screenshots of the application at:

Whats the difference between this app and the other top 3 "free" movie apps?(i.e. Now Playing, Showtimes, and Movies)

With Hot Popcorn, you can:

- Buy tickets without leaving the app

- Read movie reviews without leaving the app

- Integrate Amazon shopping

Well I'm curious how the integrated ticket buying works. Does it work for ALL theaters? Does it only work for Fandango theaters? Or only movietickets.com theaters? And is it officially working with these types of places, or is it something else altogether? Would I be giving my credit card info to the makers of this app?

I would really like to know more before thinking about purchasing this. It sounds great in theory, but I would want to know it's secure first. Also, points lost for only having Rotten Tomatoes scores. It should really have Metacritic too (the main reason I still use the "Now Playing" app).

The ticket purchasing looks convenient. I may have to try this app.
