It's kind of an ironic statement, if you only read it as its written.

yes it is snowing, was sleeting here in katy but the news just comfirmed some snow just east of here so I am sure when I go to school it will be snowing....HOUSTON is in TEXAS, a place where it doesn't snow very often!

global warming is a factor because it doesn't just heat up the earth it makes the winters colder, the correct term is CLIMATE CHANGE.

Reminds me of my first day in Las Vegas when I moved there.
Escaped a huge snow storm that came through Colorado and Nebraska by driving south to Oklahoma then west. Everyone on the way asked why I was moving there, and I told them it was to 'get away from the snow'.
First day in Vegas in January... It snows.
Damn!
Either way, I was out in shorts (43F/5C is not cold to anyone from the midwest! :) ), and it was hilarious to see everyone there trying their best at coming from the Land of Layered Clothing, let alone drive in it.
Those of you from the North living in Houston, get out your cameras, and watch the fun!

Yay! I am so excited, I live in Baton Rouge and it is suppose to snow here tonight. I was literally wearing shorts last week. This is the third time in my life it has snowed down here. To bad I am in college though and we have finals because in grammer school we would get a snow day, even though the snow only lasted for a few hours.

If you guys would please give the snow back to central NC by tomorrow, I'd appreciate it.
Forecast originally called for a good 2-4 inches on the backside of Thursday's system, but imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning and checked tomorrow's forecast:
"Heavy Rain. High 62, low 42."
damn!

That's what we had in RI today, just leave off the "Heavy". That is NOT December weather for New England. What made it worse, was that around noon yesterday, it really felt like it was going to snow. Hell, it was below 20°F last week!

That's kinda weird. I'm from Tomball many many moons ago. It's not a name I imagine coming up very often... It's funny to think that when I was a kid it snowed once so put on a windbreaker to go out and play in it (it didn't stick). Now in Iowa, it's in the single digits Fahrenheit and, man, the snow! It's unreal.
I wonder if the snow is somehow ominous. Maybe the Texans win against the Titans?? Hope not.:D

Snowed here just north of San Antonio the night before last. The next day at school, we had a snowball fight, the first ever for many people who have lived here their whole life. :)

Please go away snow!
I am getting ready to drive from Los Angeles to Southern Illinois (which goes through AZ, NM and TX, surprisingly enough) and would really appreciate it if this kind of weather just stayed away. :)

I live about an hour north of New Orleans and this is my 2nd day off since yesterday. My 1st time missing school because of snow in Louisiana! We got about 8 inches. My dad's house got a foot in some places on our land. He got some phone pics.

Yea i went throught that the other day...it just didnt feel right when i went out, and well, i didnt check the weather and i went out in a decent jacket, pants and by the end of the day i was burning up and had to turn the AC on in my jeep...something is wrong with that in December, especially when we had an early light snow in mid november. Tonight should be cold though...low 20s i think...thats more like it.
