Just got some new headphones (the Senheisser CX95) they are great, but they are also letting through some really tinny high pitched noises, the kind of painful high pitch notes which weren't noticable in my HD25. Is there any setting on the iPod/iTunes which can permanently stop these noises before they deafen me?

If canal phones sound tinny it is usually because you have no seal or a poor seal. Try the different tips that came with the earphones. Try wetting them once you find what feels like the right size - no wet, just damp. Try running the wires over the ears with the wire outs pointing up. Try pushing them in further.

You can tell when you have a good seal when the tinny sound goes away and you suddenly have bass.

If none of that works, start reading at www.head-fi.org.

Thanks mate, I'll mess around with the seals, the weird thing is, is that it has good bass right now
