Question about the new Apple In-Ear Headphones

I have a first gen ipod touch and I was wondering if anyone has tried these headphones with a first gen, if so does the remote work with it?

The remote features on the Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic only work with the iPod classic 2G, iPod nano 4G and iPod touch 2G. Audio works with all iPod/iPhone models.
