Does anyone know of any car chargers with auxillary out that work with the iPhone 3g? I know I could just connect to the headphone port, but I've found that audio quality is better from the dock connector, and this way I have less wires to plug into my iPhone when I get into the car. The only one I know of is the LiquidAUX, but that is expensive and I really don't need the remote. All I want is a car charger with the audio output to plug into my car's stereo.

This looks promising:

(I posted the same thread a few minutes ago before I found yours.)

Well, I found what I need. Don't know how after hours of searching it's only after I post a thread that I find it... hopefully this helps someone else out too.

This is what you want...
The Griffin Autopilot. It charges, and has an audio output that connects to the Aux port on the car stereo. I own it, and recommend it.

Do either of those throw the airplane mode warning? It isn't a huge deal to me, I'm just curious.

Griffin's Autopilot doesn't show that message.
I bought mine at Best Buy (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8985672&type=product&id=1218004430356) around mid September and it's still working fine - in international mode though. But I've read somewhere that Griffin stopped placing this feature because of FCC regulations so I'm not sure if they still have that option for the ones out on stores.

I searched for this very thing a couple weeks ago. I wanted to be sure that it would charge the new iPods and the new iPhone. I found Kensington LiquidAUX Auxiliary Car Kit with Remote on Amazon and have been extremely happy with it. There is also a deluxe version.
