As mentioned above, Joost is an app available from the AppStore to the Touch platform (iPod and iPhone) It has a weird library (IMHO) but I expect it would improve with time. At least it would increase your selection list and there's no download that I can detect.

You do have to download Joost. I recommend going to the AppStore and searching for it.

Or, at the moment, when you view by Categories, it's the first one listed under "top free" under Entertainment.

Does Joost provide subtitles/captions? Is there anything else out there that offers streamed captioned/subtitled video?

I rip my DVD's, transfer my EyeTV shows, and get CC'd movies from iTunes, but would like to broaden my options for times when there's nothing good in my playlist, heh.

Would it kill you to visit the iTunes Store and read about the app and maybe some reviews?

There are hundreds, maybe thousands of free apps for the iPhone and iPod touch.

No-one has mentioned www.watch-movies.net I haven't tried this, but seeing as it streams from Google Vids, it might work, Hope this helps.
