I can't seem to be able to totally empty my trash bin.

Secure delete, hold option, restart, PRam reset, all to no avail.

These two files will always appear in my bin.

®þ(Šãƒâƒ.?'ý

i&i“ti$."8‰

If I drag them out, they disappear, but the next time I drop something into the bin, they come out again.

I've actually done searches on the exact phrases and they link to websites.

I've done a virus scan with ClamXAV on all folders, but no infections found.

Help??

Hi Jedi,

Thanks for the site. but unfortunately, it didn't work. When I tried 'Show Info' the file just disappears, however, it is of an 'alias' format, which I suspect is a remaining file from some deleted program somewhere.

I am also unable to rename the files to delete them, as when I try to, I get

code error -43, when I checked from that site you gave it states that -43 is:
'File not found; Folder not found; Edition container not found; Target not found'

click the link in my signature below. You should find the answer in there. This assumes you haven't already tried using Terminal.app to empty it, or delete the trash itself.
