2nd generation better battery life?

The 2nd gen Touch apparently has better battery life. Is this due to hardware changes/tweaks or is the battery in the 2nd gens just better than that in the 1st gen?

Well it's simply better. Technology gets better everyday and batteries last longer. It's spose to have a better battery, but if you ask me it's just accommodating for the internal speaker.

My 2g's battery is terrible compared to my much older 1g.

It seems to be a common complaint. I suppose the faster processor has to draw more juice.
