I am having problems with my new dp 1.8 g5 going into sleep mode. I am running 10.3.2 with a samsung 17" crt and i microsoft optical intelimouse. When I press sleep the computer procedes to go into sleep but right when it should sleep it bounces right back on. This is not all the time but more often than not. I am not sure but I thought it might be the mouse or just the os. Other than that maybe its because there are a total of 3 users on the mac. Any help here would be great.

If anyone is logged in via ssh, AFP, or any other sort of thing like that, it won't, and can't without messing that stuff up, go to sleep. It could be something with the mouse though, try it with a wired USB mouse.

As for the accounts being logged off, they might be logged off locally, but that doesn't mean that someone isn't using SSH, or AFP, because you won't see those as logged in. Well, for SSH logins, you can go into Terminal and type users and that will tell you if anyone else is logged in, but I have the feeling that isn't the case here... ;)

Yeah i have no issues really, the pc is so very fast at booting up that sleep or shutdown is almost a non-issue. If i have to live with that i am ok with it.
