Hi. I got my first Mac (iMac) a few days ago -- I've never used the OS or the machine itself before and it isn't to be touched unless Christmas day. (:()

Anyway, I wanted to upgrade the RAM from the original 2GB to 4GB. I've never upgraded a machine before, and have no knowledge on what specifications the RAM needs to have.

The iMac is Apple's current generation 24", 2.8GHz (aluminium), which is currently priced around £1150.

I used Crucial's online advisor tool and it gave back the following result: http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=39D3BF46A5CA7304

I simply wanted to check if this is the correct memory for my machine before I ordered.
Thanks. :)

Looks right to me. I would trust what Crucial comes back with. Never had a problem with them.

Definitely a good idea to get the RAM, too. I noticed a big difference with that extra 2GB.
