Hi All,
I just released a new App on the store - Payometer.

iTunes - http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=299684246&mt=8

Website - www.jokode.com

I look at this forum all the time for feedback on other apps and Id like any feedback that anyone would offer me about the app or the concept!

(as long as it wont make me cry) :D

It would be cool if you incorporated a compound interest calculator. So, while you're getting yelled at for 10 minutes, you can see how much money you made and how much that amount will be worth in 20 years from know if it collects 5% interest compounded continuously, daily, or annually.

And watch out, you have competition with that app that calculates how much money you are making while you take a dump at work. That is, assuming you didn't develop that one too!

Doesn't do me much good since I am on salary :)

You better market it well since that app has lots of competition.

DipDog - Did you mean that it wont do you much good as you are salary? It does support salary, and can converts from hourly to salary too - maybe I should make that more prominent in the description?

And thanks for the feedback Kas23 - appreciate it. I've got plenty of stuff I want to do for version 2.0, but before I invest more time I want to make sure that there is at least a few people out there that want it!

I really want to get something on youtube as the screenshots on my www.jokode.com website don't do the rolling animation justice as soon as I can get hold of decent camera I'll do that!

I'd like to say, "I'd buy that for a dollar" but, I probably won't.

IveBeenDrinking - you probably won't?? Clearly its the best app on the store! ;)

Its probably just that you have been drinking, and thus your judgement is impaired :) Just wait for that youtube movie - its going to blow you away

I understand telling you that your app sucks is like telling a mother her child is ugly. So, I won't tell you that. I will say that anyone with a calculator can figure out how much they are worth by the millisecond. Having said that, anyone with an iPhone in their pocket can figure out how much to tip but, the tip calculating apps seem to sell well.

So, good luck to you.

Harsh! :-)
Can anyone with a calculator animate that calculation every few milliseconds?
Can anyone with a calculator press 1 button 5 hrs after making the original calculation to see the new amount?

That's what I'm bringing to the table :-)

Anyway I asked for feedback - and you gave it, so thank you.

I have the app and can say the visual representation of your pay is top notch. It cannot be recreated with a calculator. The whole point is to watch your money pile up, not compute your millisecond pay rate.

It successfully combines the enjoyment of watching your pay come in with an accurate pay tracker for meetings, dropping a deuce, etc.

I agree that the toughest part is getting visibility in the app store, so word of mouth will be very important.

Looking forward to the next Jokode app, nicely done. :)

Thanks for the positive feedback Perphunk! I think you might be the same person that added an itunes review of my app (similar username?) - if you are thanks for the double positive feedback! Wish that more people would post reviews - good or bad!

I think the thing that I have learned the most out of doing this project - even though everyone that I have heard from that has bought the app has given me good feedback about it (in particular the odometer animation) - but as others have pointed out - its just hard to get noticed on the app store now!

Hi,
I finally managed to get a YouTube movie for the Payometer app!

Unfortunately my digital camera was just not up to the job so I ended up buying the excellent Mac program -iShowU to take a video using the Simulator.

Love to hear anyones feedback on the App and the Video - I have a bunch of features I really want to add and I'd love to hear anyones suggestions for improvements on the app or the video!

Thanks in advance,
