View Full Version : Can an iMac display be put to sleep with 2nd display active?

I know there's nothing in the display prefs to do this -- but wondering if there's some piece of shareware that can do it.
Got the latest 24" iMac.

Put to sleep? No, that'd put the other display to sleep, too. Turn the built-in display off? Yes. Hang on...
Darn. There's a key combo that you can do to shut off the display without having the computer sleep. I can't find it.
Aha! Try Control+Shift+Eject.

That works. Unfortunately it puts both displays to sleep :-(

This was debated a couple days ago... and the other guy couldn't make it work either.

Guess that means there's a need. Maybe someone out there will try to program a solution.
