iphone handbrake

Hello, i have tried putting a movie onto my iPhone but it does not work. i have tried searching for an answer but i cannot come up with anything. i downloaded an avi format movie. then i used handbrake to make a m4v file with the iPhone setting. I then put it into the iTunes library but after that i cannot drag it into the iphone. Can someone please help me. Thank you.

Do you have the drag-n-drop option turned on (i.e. "Manually manage.." checkbox is checked)? If not then you will need to go to the video tab and use the appropriate check boxes to get the movie to sync.
