What are the best App Store review sites?

Also, what are the most trafficked review sites?

I figure that people go to these review sites to find apps to buy. So I assume that they would be a good place to advertise. Also, if I could convince them to write reviews on my apps, then I could increase my sales.

Any ideas?

I'm gonna throw us in here. We average 9.000 unique hits per month currently, have an editorial team spanning the globe,
and with us now giving away a slurry of top-end promo codes for some of the best applications on the store, our traffic has recently soared.

We're by no means as big as say Mac Rumors, or even TouchArcade, but we are upcoming,
so if you'd like to check us out, you'll find the link above, and in my signature.

We tend to offer:

- Unbiased App Store reviews
- Apple/Tech News & Reviews
- Exclusive Interviews
- App Store giveaways

[Edit] - Whoops! Trentiles beat me too it! / Link removed :)

Cheers,
R-Fly

RazorianFly is a nice site as well as toucharcade, but I would like to toss my site in there as well. Appvee is a great site for video reviews as well

www.aPPversity.com

We are another brand new site that's up and coming as well, and I feel there is plenty of differences in each site.

My site will be focusing on News and App Reviews. Not only gaming though that's what im focusing on at the moment until I can get some much needed STAFF and HELP!!! (Anyone interested!!??)

Im working on design and video reviews shortly (ironing out some issues im having)

I pride my site on giving quality reviews pointing out the positive and negative aspects of each application.

with 10,000 plus applications out there i find it impossible for 2 or three sites to honestly cover them all..

IF anyone has a site and would like to banner swap or cross promote their site with mine please let me know!

Not that I don't believe in competition, but it might be smart if these two posters (razorianfly and appversity) who have review sites hooked up, did lunch, and combined their efforts. I agree that reviewing lots of apps with limited staff is not easy. Working together (and sharing ad revenue) - maybe you can build something really big. Just a thought. Good luck, btw. We need good review sites.

I've had a friendly talk with Dorfdad, and we've both come to a decision that merging would not be beneficial.
As Dorfdad suggests, both of our sites offer something different. Enough to differentiate each other from each other.

We both recognise that we've put a lot of hard work into establishing our sites up until today,
and will both I'm sure continue to work at this, while each offering something different for you, our readers.

As we continue down the road and try to establish RazorianFly.com in the market,
we would also like to wish Appversity.com the best of luck, and great success for the future.

And thanks for the great inital idea Sseelman,
it did spark some interesting conversation.

My site isn't really an iPhone app site but I do put some reviews up on there. The link is in my sig.

I use toucharcade amongst others for just app reviews and that seems to be popular with others too.

for reviews, I usually first take a look at TouchArcade

also http://www.appvee.com/ (video reviews)
and http://www.148apps.com/

I also keep an eye on http://appshopper.com/ to see what's new and for any price changes. Actually, what I do is just subscribe to the RSS feeds of appshopper and 148apps to keep on top of what's new...

as you may know, this and TouchArcade are both creations of Arnold Kim of Macrumors fame... :)

and speaking of website traffic, coincidentally Arnold has a recent post on his blog about traffic these sites of his:

iPhone Life magazine

There's a new printed publication (and companion website) from the publishers of Smartphone Magazine, called iPhone Life Magazine.

In full disclosure, I'm one of the contributing editors. We review apps, independently, and the publishers take advertising.

http://www.SmartphoneMag.com/iPhone

and my blog, http://www.smartphonemag.com/iphone/todd.bernhard

The premier issue just hit news stands, and I have about three articles in the next one, on Audiobooks, missing features on the iPhone, and I'll be writing about the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas... only two more weeks to go!!!

I'll also be writing and blogging about my experience as an app developer. It's been a wild ride! My first app, 100sounds hit iTunes exactly two weeks ago and it's been as low as #13 in the Paid Entertainment category!

I've been hearing about the new iPhone Life Magazine for awhile now and glad to see it became reality with a launch. Glad to see a non-electronic iPhone source ... there is a place in the world for this ... great site, iPhone Life ... LOL, one of the few site where the Subscribe tab is not a RSS subscription ;)

Yep, as much as I'm addicted to the Internet, there's a place for hardcopy... like in the restroom!!! Too many horror stories of dropped iPhones!

I'm pretty confident TouchArcade.com is the most trafficked app review site (gaming or not).

public traffic stats: http://www.quantcast.com/toucharcade.com/traffic

- 220-300,000 people per month (depending on how you measure)
- 3+ million page views a month

and AppShopper.com is the most trafficked general app site:

http://www.quantcast.com/appshopper.com/traffic
- 277-371,000 people per month (depending on how you measure)
- 7+ million page views a month

Congrats to both TouchArcade and to you arn! :D
Well done on both app review sites and highly recommended.

I found some interesting stats for iphoneappreviews.net (not my site, but #1 for Google seach "iphone app review") and they don't even come close to something like appshopper.com

http://www.iphoneappreviews.net/mint/

Here are some "rough stats" for another site http://www.quantcast.com/appleiphoneschool.com

Looks like appcraver.com is getting about 12K visits/day http://www.quantcast.com/appcraver.com

Found ifones.com with similar traffic, http://www.quantcast.com/ifones.com#traffic
