iPhone Assembly - Connecting Digitizer Ribbon

Bought a full replacement assembly, lcd+digitizer+glass+bezel, and am trying to connect the 1 ribbon and 2 snap-connector lines. Having lots of trouble figuring out how to gently and safely connect the Ribbon (the one that goes under the connector that you have to lift up to a 45degree angle and shut).


Any advice on a tool, or how far to get it in before it works? I'm getting frustrate after a few hours of trying.

Step 7 is where my problem is. I need to re-connect it.

No advice anywhere on this, but people seem to be doing it.
