Is there anyway to allow the connection of more than 10 computers (since 10 is the limit) to an external hard-drive, shared over a wireless network, without having to buy that apple server program? Or should I try some other way?? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I didn't realize there's a limit. The limit on OS X server is 10 or you can buy the unlimited version. Didn't realize it applied to shares just from regular OS on a computer. Also, on server, it's simulataneous access.

Yup, Apple limits this because it wants large workgroups to bump up to Mac OS X Server. If you have a large workgroup, you should be able to justify this purchase. You could even get an older copy of OSX Server, if cost is an issue.

Otherwise, run the server off Linux and share it from there to the other Macs.
