new Powermac 4400 on CL? What is this?

What do you mean, "What is it"?
The first in the Power Macintosh line, the 4400 was released in November 1996. It had a 160 or 200MHz PowerPC processor and supported a massive 160MB of RAM.
It's neat in that it's never been opened. There was an unopened Apple ][gs floating around a while back. I'd love to send in the warrantee card on one of those, just to see what Apple would have to say about getting a postcard with
"Apple Computer Inc." on it.

This guy failed big time on the new in box. As he had to open the box to take those pictures. Might as well take some collectible toy out of its packaging then try to sell it as new in package.
Well it isn't quite the first in the Powermac Line the 6100/60, 7100/66, 8100/80 and their AV counterparts where the first in 1994. The 4400 came a year after the G2's 7200, 7500, 8500, 9500 and a little after the 7600.Tallest Skil said:What do you mean, "What is it"?
