changing hard drive help

Im going to order a 500GB samsung hdd from OWC for my MBP. I have a couple of questions if anyone can help:

1. where can i get the special screwdriver needed?

2. Will a USB enclosure for my old hdd allow me to transfer my old media and documents or does it have to be firewire?

1. RadioShack, OWC probably too
2. Yes, either will work, but the internal interface has to be SATA (assuming it's a SATA interface on the MBP drive ... did any of the early ones not have SATA?)
