I'm just curious because on my macbook (late 2006), the screen is a piece of crap. It can't keep a constant brightness. It goes from bright to dark and back to bright.
And another question: do all new macbooks come with the LED displays? And do the new macbooks have the illuminated keyboard?

No they don't flicker.
LEDs are pretty much standard now in the line except the 17" MBP since it wasn't upgraded.
Only the 2.4 MB has the illuminated keyboard.

your power cable isn't loose, is it? make sure it's plugged all the way into the outlet. stranger things have happened!

I have the same problem as the OP, and it mostly happens on battery power. But to answer the original post, I have not noticed flickering on the new Macbooks.

It's the auto-brightness setting probably.
