So I currently have a 2.2 ghz santa rosa macbook pro. I love the thing but can't get over the new unibody stuff. I almost want the new unibody macbook pro but at the same time I have always wanted something just slightly smaller. I found someone that is willing to trade their unibody macbook for my macbook pro, what do you guys think I should do?

Well I won't tell you what to do, but I will lay out the pros and cons, and hope that makes it a little clearer for you.

What you'd be losing is some graphics power, the quality of the screen, and firewire.

What you'd be gaining is some weight-loss/portability, a marginal speed boost in processor, bus, etc., a user-changeable HD, and the new design (and a warranty, if yours has expired by now).

All in all, a pretty close call, and it probably depends on how you use your mac.
