Is there anyway in Panther printer sharing to require a password to access the printer? I would like to share a printer from my laptop with my roommates desktop machine over the network, but I don't want anyone on campus to be able to send pages to my printer.

I don't know if there is a way to put a password on printer sharing, but I'm almost positive that you can put a password on your wireless network. So if anyone would want to print to your printer they would have to enter your password in order to gain access to your network.

Look on www.versiontracker.com and see if there are any shareware/freeware programs that will let you put a password on your printer sharing.
