I bought a black 2.4 macbook 1.5-2 month before the new alumin macbooks came out. I didn't know that they were about to come out. I mean will Apple from now on always develope and release new laptops every 6-7 months?
Is the the black mb 2.4 really obselete compared to the alumin one?
Because i've read a lot of people writting that games and etc that work on the alumin one would've never worked on the plastic one.
Thank you for your answers in advance.

Everyone always develops and releases new computers every six months. Welcome to the technology industry. Apple's been doing it for years.
The only thing obsolete is the GPU, and the 9400M isn't all that and a ball of wax.

if you game, you shouldt be looking at a mb honestly
for everything but gaming, the old mb is not obsolete
heck i cant find reason at all to do away with my first gen mb from early/mid 2006

Your Macbook still works fine, right? Don't worry about it.

I love your sig. Sure, Ron Paul is okay, but I mostly love your sig because you're still using it. Ain't gonna happen, bro!

Agreed, if your black 2.4 GHz MacBook is still working fine for your needs, then don't worry about the new aluminum MacBooks. Sure the new models are faster, but yours is still a great laptop! :) :apple:

Does anyone care about the FW400 link?
the black mb 2.4 has one - the aluminium mb doesn't!
i think that's an advantage!!!!!

FW400 is only important if you have legacy hardware... otherwise it ain't such a worrying factor.

Ah don't worry about it. Personally i'm rather attached to my ageing White MacBook, still it looks ever so innocent. It's great on the road and I don't need to worry too much about it failing in the near future, there's nothing nVidia in it... :D Anyway, the newer Unibody version might look great but it's heavier!!
