Software update won't load

I am trying to update my ipod touch to the newest software so I can download apps from the apps store.

I keep getting the message "You do not have permission to access the requested source".

I paid for it but it won't download it.

Maybe do a search or at least scroll down a few inches to see if someone else is possibly having the same proble you are?
