Returning a mouse received for Christmas

Hi there
my sister bought me a mouse for Christmas from the Apple store in Liverpool. They gave her an online receipt only, is a Kensington mouse and I'd like to return it at the apple manchester store. Unfortunately my sister wont be with me, what codes/proof will I need? Will I be able to get cash?

If it's open you probably may have to pay a fee to get the cash back or even store credit if it's open...
