is there any way to get garage band for a windows computer? or does anyone know of a garage band equivilent program for windows Vista?

No, unless you have a hackinstosh. But that's not a windows computer.
There are alot of alternatives, just google for an audio program for windows :)
I can think of cubase and ableton lite off the top of my head but that's it.

Yeah, GarageBand and all the other iLife apps (iMovie, iPhoto, iWeb, iDVD) are Mac-only. It's part of what makes the Mac such a blast to use.
I'm sure there are plenty of other similar programs available for PCs, but they're likely not as intuitive and also likely not free, as GarageBand is when it comes with your Mac.

Isn't fruity loops supposed to be like an advanced version of garageband?
