iPod Britney Spears Circus goes out of order when synced to iPhone?

in iTunes, if you select the first song of the album, and press command-I, you will be able to edit the metadata of the song files.
in the "info" tab, there is a "song number" category. maybe manually enter the order of the songs into this field? you will have to do this for each track on the album. (start at the first song, and use the "next" button at the bottom to go to the next song.)
