Ipod Touch 2nd gen speaker

Got the new ipod touch 2nd gen on christmas. After turning it on this morning when on the home screen and changed the volume with the external volume keys it says headphones are in use but they werent pluged in. i put some music on but no sound comes of the speaker. i put headphones in and sound works then. i changed the settings to defult but still no sound. i tested the alarm with the speaker and thats seems fine. Anyone else got this problem or do you no how to fix it.

Umm that sounds like a hardware problem. Keep messing around with the sound settings, and if you can't fit it then head to an apple store.

you 100% sure its a 2g? Did it come in a box or a plastic thing?

might be the headphone jack. Call apple
