I can't make sense of the available information out there. I have 2.2 iPhone 3G. and I want to jailbreak it. I hear devteam unlocked 2.2 but not the latest baseband or something. I don't need to unlock the phone, just to jailbreak it. So can I as of this minute or not?

You already have the updated baseband. I see no reason why you shouldn't.

Yes. The only ones who need to worry about it at this point are the ones who haven't gotten the baseband update and do not want it.

you can jailbreak the phone, but not unlock the 2.2 baseband, yet.

How can you check your baseand?

googled how to check your baseband and they said that the modem Fireware is it

my fireware is 02.28.00

is this the good one to unlock?
