New question, what size brush (px) would they use in this video?

Secondly, what resolution is the best for drawing with a tablet? Like, in the following videos (great artist) what resolution in pixels would the workspace be? Or should I do it in inches?

Thirdly, how do you do the technique at about 0:13 in this video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkeF7gfyM-U Where they seem to "cut into" the original outline?
Lastly, it's best to do lineart at the beginning, right? Like a sketchart in grey and then outline it afterwards? Just use grey, I guess, not much to it? Different layer right? Any opacity?
