Seems that people love to hear these success stories on the app store. How would you like to see sales numbers from some of us average folks? People always ask me how many I have sold. I never really say and always try to downplay. Thats like saying how much do you get paid at work? No one really asks that question. But since this is not my day job and if people really want to know, I am thinking about sharing. Both of my apps are pretty much in the middle of their categories and it would give you an idea of what an average joe makes.

Yeah I wouldn't mind seeing sales numbers. You always hear what the most successful paid apps are getting and that makes the app store sound so good to get into.
But you don't hear about the other 98% of developers.

ok, you got it! I can't do it today but ill crunch the numbers since september for tingalin and post them tomorrow. Ill do the same for iFight but its only been in the store for about a week. After that I will post numbers on a regular basis, at least weekly. However, I have to note that most of the success from tingalin has not been monetary. Other perks include: Meeting the president of Albania and sat in the same table with him, he actually plaid with my app and got a kick out of it. Featured on TV in over 10 countries. This is like the CNN of the US. Met the Governor of the Albanian Bank (similar to the Alan Greenspan in the US) and had lunch with him in Washington. Featured in several magazines and newspapers and met lots and lots of other interesting people. Such as miss Kosovo 2008! Now those are personal gains. Those are personal gains, there are also benefits to the Albanian community which is why I was on TV. My app allows anyone in the world to have a piece of my culture in their pocket! Nations try all sorts of diplomacy's to spread their culture. Actually VOA, the TV station that interviewed me is a US government funded agency whose goal is to market US ideology to the world. For a small nation it is also a matter of pride. Being able to go in the app store and see something that is your own does not happen often.

I would like to see them, and I think it is good marketing for your app if you release them. Even if your numbers are just average, the extra exposure will help sales.

Thanks for the info! And yes not too many people are smart enough to think of creating a farting app - what a predicament.
