Hey i just bought a mackbook pro. Joined the cult :\. Anyway, is it possible to change the hard drive on it? Or must i send it in to be done ?

The new unibody? Its under the back cover.
If the older one, then it takes a little dissection. Remove some screws, keyboard (basically the top case) and its there. Not bad if you have ever messed with a computer.
Go to ifixit.com. They have a step by step tutorial that I followed and it turned out great.

hi, here's a simple step by step tutorial on how to change harddrives in a macbook.
It's not that hard and only takes little of your time!
