Hi, I recently bought an iPod touch and want it to be able to access my internet at home. My modem is set up so that I have to manually enter the IP addresses that are allowed to access the net.

So I've read all about the how to get my ipod's IP address if already connected to a network. (settings, Wi-fi, choose the network I want to connect to, click the little blue arrow, IP address should be there) But, what if I need the IP address in order to connect to the network? The IP address only appears if you are connected to a network...

Is it even possible?

If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks a lot!

Your touch won't have an ip address unless it is already connected to a network. You must mean you have MAC address filtering on. In that case what the poster above me said is what you need.
