In the battery calibration process on apples website. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/9036.html

Step 5:
"Turn off the computer or allow it to sleep for five hours or longer."

Is this literal can you simply shut off the computer once it hibernates due to low battery and continue the calibration process? (step 6 plug in comp and let it fully recharge) It makes sense to let it sit in this state for 5 hours longer in order to completely drain the battery dead.

It's a necessary step in the process otherwise they wouldn't list it. Surely, you can step away from the computer for 5 hours. 😀
