Appears that our numbers have been slipping over the last couple weeks. Does anyone know what the burst came from and how we can reinvigorate?

We had a couple of stronger folders lose machines, so we saw a little dip, plus we saw a "tinker storm" which is a bigger penalty for Mac teams than PC users.
Hopefully, people will regain their machines and/or get new ones, and some new folders and more gromacs units and we'll be set. :)

This is great news MacFan25. Now if we can just hold that position. I think that the new banner and campaign will encourage more members to join.

Compared to 33rd, where we were for a very long time, it's amazing. Between the greater number of active folders and the newest Gromacs core, we've been moving quite well.
By the way, in your signature, you have Linus Torvold--his name is Linus Torvalds. :)

Nice. Nice machines packing there...
My school has some way of filtering, Proxys, I have no idea that don't seem to be able to connect to the folding servers... gah.
And Onward we march indeed.

I had six G5s folding at my school, but they either got re-imaged or they found where I hid the app deep in the Microsoft office user crap. We got them just a couple weeks ago, and I don't want my airport privilages revoked, so I don't think I'm going to reinstall it until summer.

Unfortunately, got the same at work... So only my G5 is folding 24/7.

My problem is that work does not like having folding working over the net to get work and upload results. If there was a way to have the folding work be resident on a flash memory disk then I could bring the machine new work from home and bring the results home for upload. Is this possible? Complication: work uses PC's, home is a G5.

A couple of weeks there was the same question. You could transport your WU through a floppydrive or send it through email. But don't know if this works between a pc and a Mac. Have the same @work. We also have pc's there (note to myself: for my next job, get one that have Macs!!).
