unlock 3G 2.x.x from dev team

i saw the following at the iclarified at of november.

however, i am unable to find this link any more today. has this been removed?
is this only to unlock/jailbreak or just to jailbreak?

would someone please confirm the dev team has officially rolled the the program to unlock/jailbreak 3G 2.x.x for Mac.

This is only JB. Unlock will not happen until tonight. It only works for the 2.1 baseband as well. If you have already updated to 2.2, you won't be able to unlock it until they figure out how.

It doesn't work yet. The link won't help you. As we said, wait a few more hours.

This is only JB. Unlock will not happen until tonight. It only works for the 2.1 baseband as well. If you have already updated to 2.2, you won't be able to unlock it until they figure out how.

ok, so the unlock piece will be available after midnight tonight for 3G v2.1, and the v2.2 will be sometime in the near future, correct?

Only if you have the 2.1 baseband. If you updated to the official 2.2, you will not be able to unlock. There has been no timeline for 2.2 however JBing a 2.2 is fine.

Update looks like they figured out the 2.2 baseband as well. Hackintosh (http://www.hackint0sh.org/news/521).

i was just going to go thru the motions of updating from 2.1 to 2.2 and preserving the baseband. Good thing I checked the threads before I did. Saved me a lot of time and restoring.
