View Full Version : Reordering tabs in a web browser

In Safari, I don't see a way to reorder the tabs in a window. Sometimes I want to move "the important one" to be leftmost, or swap two tabs, just to keep 3 or 4 or more tabs organized in a window while I'm working. I suppose I could save bookmarks, edit them, and reopen them, but I really just want to hold a key and click-drag a tab to another position on the tab bar.

Does Safari let you do this? Do any web browsers let you do this?

Does anyone besides me want such a feature?

I've been wanting that feature, but AFAIK, it isn't currently in Safari. I also tried Opera and couldn't figure out a way. I'm not sure about other browsers though.

In Firefox it comes as a free extention. In Safari you have to pay $10 for a program (http://batista.org/extender.html) which provides less functionality and a more cumbersome interface.
