Terminology: addon domain V "Parked" domain?

Does the following mean I could host 1 website with 10 different names, or 10 different websites in the one package?

Parked domain with cpanel will just forward or mask of the site URL. IE, chicowebdesign.com, or chicowebdesign.net, would both go to the same account.

Addon domain is an additional domain associated with your account. By default cpanel will allocate a folder, then you can FTP to this folder effectively hosting several web sites from one hosting package.

Wow, so I could possibly host several different folders as several different websites — nothing to do with each other — on the one account? That's great news!
