Songs wont go into Itunes

I downloaded a CD and It downloaded it into .ogg form which is compatible for VLC. What should i change it to to get it to go into itunes. I looked at my itunes songs and they end with m4a. If i change the .ogg to .m4a would it work?

You need to convert the files; changing the extensions won't do. iTunes accepts MP3, AAC (m4a), and other formats.

If you've ripped the CD then just rip it in iTunes as well.

If you downloaded an album and it's pirated, well ... not helping then.
