4 gb RAM in a 2.16 Ghz Macbook

I stupidly bought 2x2gb RAM for my macbook.......I made a mistake...fine. Before I return it, will this harm my computer? or will the computer just use what it can on each chip? The price difference was negligible.

Not really sure what you're asking here. The 2.16 Ghz MB is expandable to 4 gb and I believe it will just utilize 3 gb.

I got bought ddr2 it wont work you need ddr3

I bought DDR2 2x2gb RAM....it is a regular white macbook, not macbook pro.

every website says that it goes up to 2gb MAX....can I use these 2gb chips anyways?

Go ahead and use it. The chipset will only use 3.3GB, but having 2x2 gives you the performance boost from dual channel memory. Lots of people on this board use such configurations. I only use 2.5GB, but many have used and continue to use 2x2. The hardware supports more than what Apple says it does.
