I am in the process of switching from Ubuntu Linux to Mac OS X.

For coding I used terminal or xterm(black) in Ubuntu and I loved the fonts in the terminal. My eyes are so used to those fonts out there that I find it so hard to work in "terminal" of mac which doesn't have those fonts.

Did you guys have the same issue ever ?

Can you share what terminal font and color scheme is popular in OS X.

Every answer is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Daniel

Which font do you use in Ubuntu? If the Ubuntu default is the same as Fedora, it is Monospace 12 pt. I know that's not available, but Lucida Sans Typewriter is a very similar font. Access Terminal Preferences-> Settings and select the font there. You may also want to check Antialias Text.

I just use the basic theme - none of the others do anything for me.

I use Monoco 10pt. The command prompt is green and the other text is silver. Background is black.
