Ok, hear me out. In October, the 17" MBP just got some minor changes while we are waiting for the unibody version to be released at MacWorld. The MBA, had some really great updates to the hardware, a 45 nm Penryn CPU, memory bus speed upgrade, a SATA HD, and 128 GB SSD option... But the MBA did NOT see some of the other changes like glass display, trackpad, and etc.

Will we see an updated MBA at MacWorld?

Will it have the following:

glass trackpad?

glass display?

black bezel?

2 GHz CPU (which would seem a lot faster psychologically than a 1.86 GHz)?

4 GB RAM (this one is really important)???

256 GB SSD?

I am planning to buy the MBA either way next week, but I would LOVE to see these upgrades! Especially the 4 GB memory (the only drawback of the MBA). I have also grown very fond of the glass trackpad as button instead of separate button.

I would love an "executive" version with upgraded everything and 4 GB RAM, and I would gladly pay $2999 for one with upgrades to all of the items I mentioned.

Thought it would be nice to get some others views about the possibilities!

most likely, NO

It's been less than 6 months since they updated the MBA. Plus, all that glass is going to increase the weight. Therefore, highly unlikely.

I'd say, the odds are one to a million. There won't be an updated Air, really.

I Would imagine the glass would be heavier than the aluminium, so Apple may choose not to give it a glass bezel (Please!)

Very unlikely. I'd say 1 out of 100.

Very unlikely. Didn't they just updated it not too long ago?

Supposedly, the glass is really thin on the MB and MBP... and the top portion with the display weighs less than the prior generations.

The MBA is fine the way it is for now.
