How in the World Do I Replace this Image Text?

Hey guys!

Alrighty, I've accomplished quite a bit in Photoshop. But with this image I absolutely need to edit this, and I'm stumped. :(

I've done this kind of work for a couple of weeks and I've been successful with it. I've been able to remove text in the image and erase it to be my own text replaced.
But with this image, I need to erase the "Car Rental" title and the "Slogan Goes Here" block of text.

Is this even possible to do?

I know I've read in places that if you do the method of erasing and replacing text in an image, you are damaging the picture, and have to try and restore it again.

But is there a way to do this?

Yeah the marketing company that created it should be able to provide you with the original PSD file, but if you can't get it then you could just select the entire gradient area and cover it up with a new, identical gradient (minus the logo) and replace the text that way.

If you are doing a header for a dealership, shouldn't you have made, what seems to be a main, if not the whole thing, portion of the header yourself and not just be replacing words on it?

My suggestion for you would be to learn the basics of photoshop before contracting yourself out for work.

Like was said above, you can just replace the gradient with your own and redo the wording on top of your new gradient, but you really should be able to find the original .psd file or what ever it may have been done in, from whomever you purchased/recieved the image from.
