Did I just waste $150 upgrading to the family pack?

Ok, so last night I upgraded to the family pack thinking it would of course let me and my wife share (add/edit events) a calender. I just want to be able to go to my calender and be able to see what is going on with our busy family. I also thought we could share address books. Am I missing something here? What is the benefit of having mobileme other then an email address. I am somewhat new to mac and have spent hours and hours trying to figure this out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you want to SHARE a calendar and contacts, you and your wife should use the SAME account. The family pack is only for if you want separate cal/contacts.

The way we do it is to create separate calendars and publish/subscribe. Easy to isolate what we're doing individually, and since I'm on the road, it works well.
