m•Box Mail - reskinning icon woes

I am trying to apply a new skin to m•Box Mail but it never works, i think its because of the dot inbetween the m and the box. i have tried

m•Box Mail
m.Box Mail
mBox Mail


anyone know how to rename apps so i coiuld just remove the dot using ssh?

i have found a answer and thought i would share with others who cant change there file name

just rename your icon to m•Box Mail.png and drop it into the icon folder in your theme,

I tried several times this m•Box Mail.png, but it doesn't work.. Do you have another way??
